You can connect a 4 wire (not the 2 wire!!) between two or more of them a=
nd=20
connect the serial piece to a serial port of a Newton or a Mac. You can t=
hen=20
run LocalTalk (AppleTalk over serial cables) on them. Make sure to have a=
=20
resistor in the first & the last of these connectors.
The maximum speed you get between two Macs is 230 KBit/sec, I'm not sure =
what=20
the Newton's LocalTalk max speed is.
This is (was) the poor man's network connection, about 10 years out of da=
te.
