Hi all,
Wondering if I could benefit from your wisdom... I'm trying to connect an
MP2000u to my 2001 iBook running 9.2.1 using a Belkin serial-to-usb adapter.
I'm running 1.0 NCU (not beta build 6 or whatever). In NCU, I've tried checking
"use USB printer port" ONLY, I've also tried via Appletalk, but I don't think
the Belkin can "send' Appletalk signals....
I've tried plugging in the serial dongle into the newton FIRST, and THEN
plugging in the serial. I've tried restarting the iBook, turning the newton on
and off, changing the chooser settings, etc, all to no avail.
Am I missing something super obvious here? If all fails, I'll be receiving a
3com ethernet card next week, and I could get a friend of mine to install
drivers on a 2mb card, but I want to connect the dang thing NOW, dammit!
Thanks for any words of advice you might have hehe...
Cheers,
-nico
