Some of the mirrors work, some of them don't, but it's been the HTTP
revision that's caused the problem for me rather than the MIME type. The
functional mirrors have been sending the MIME type
application/x-newton-compatible-pkg
for .pkg files (as does my own server), which the unpatched NetHopper
recognizes and does the right thing with.
Some of the unna mirrors will allow HTTP1.0 and some won't; the ones
that do work fine with the unpatched NetHopper. The HTTP1.1 support is a
big boon, though, and well worth the effort. What made me mention it is
that if the bulk of the patch complexity was in the pkg reconigtion, it
may be that the overall patch could be simplified by either separating
the pkg loader part from the HTTP1.1 support.
Uhm, looks like guelph.unna.org is the one that I use with the NetHopper
I've got loaded, which shows as version 3.2 (443-49287560).
