Out and in might be a bit hard to do. That would be _really_ nice, but I
don't see how it's feasible from a technical standpoint. Perhaps I just
don't know enough about the subject.

Mostly, the four port limitation is to fit in with what MacWhispers has been
saying. Of course, we can't really tell if he is just feeding us false
data. We haven't yet established his credibility.

No HD is probably a good idea, but solid state memory can be slow. If these
devices are meant to build on one another, then using an iPod for external
storage is probably what will happen. Removing the hard drive from the
equation should give you a $500-$600 device if they use other technologies
that they should be using. Such as OLEDs. :-)

I really hope that whatever this is, it isn't just a portable screen for a
desktop. That would destroy what little faith I have left in Apple. I
would never buy one, nor do I know anyone who would.

Of course, with the PPC 970 coming, I don't really see how this will compete
with their laptop sales if it has a G3. I have little doubt that desktops
will get the 970 first, but laptops can't be that far behind. After all,
the chip produces very little heat for how fast it is. It would probably
result in cooler Al books. Then the entire Apple product line would move up
a processor level. G4 iBooks. Mmmmm. This thing would be the only one
with a G3 anymore.
