yes you are limited to serial when connecting to windows. the Basilisk
Emulator is an option if you want to sync the mac way [and use ethernet]
also, depending on the speed of your wintel box, you may need to run
'slowdown.exe' to make serial comms reliable.

Lotus Organizer works very well for this, similar to the old NCK for
your MP100. it is freely available on unna.org. there are also packages
fro syncing with Outlook [lookout, outlink, maybe others]

nahhhhh.
there are decent options for most common OSes, including linux. the
learning curve is a bit steep sometimes but we will get you through.
