I think that it's possible the electrical system can be the cause of
jaggies. This theory has been through the list before, but I happen to
agree with it, and, since I have had several batteries for my 2100, I've
seen that the old one, when the contacts become dirty, can display jaggies.
I'd highly recommend cleaning the contacts (in the newton, if necessary)
and/or trying another battery.
