You can also create HWR expansions for particular things. Open the on-screen
keyboard (by double-tapping in any text entry field) and then tap the book
icon in the lower-left corner of the keyboard. Here you can enter new words
into the user dictionary or expansions.

For example, when I write 'bul' the Newton prints a bullet character at the
cursor, and when I write 'ind' it indents three spaces. Nice for inserting
bulleted lists in the middle of a note.
