Matthew, did you look specifically deep into the userConfiguration slot in the
System soup? This is a slot where the Newton stores settings and the primary
owner's information. But a lot of other apps (most notable SimpleMail) use
this area for their settings instead of allocating a new slot. I've found
tons of cruft in here before, and it ended up freeing a bunch of heap as well
as space:
