I have this same problem since I did a brainwipe a few days ago. I
reinstalled all of the SM packages and I can connect to the web fine and
send mail or browse with Nethopper. I get the (-ERR Invalid command) error
whenever I try to receive mail. I wrote my settings down before the
brainwipe and reentered them exactly as before but no dice.
I remember I had this same problem a year ago when I first set up
Simplemail, I just can;t remember what I did to rectify it...

Can you get on the web with a browser? Did you check all settings in
your Owner Info?
