Ummm... Yes, and Hell Yes!! On the last, it's a choice of do I sit there
staring into space for minutes trying to wrack my brain to remember some
obscure keying sequence that requires me to take my fingers from their
typing positions anyway (given where almost every keyboard places the
modifier keys), or do I take a fraction of a second to reach less than a
foot for the mouse (or better, trackball) and allow my kinesthetic 'lower'
brain to do what comes naturally?
As for the Newt w/ keyboard or eMate, I believe the strategy is to just plow
on with the typing, and then edit afterwards with the pen, just as most
folks in the "paperless" office do, i.e., they *print out* a draft and have
at it with a red pen and then pull the doc up and make corrections.
Just my 2 cents...
