GeeThree (geethree.com) makes a line of serial ports that replace the
internal modem on post-iMac Macs. My B+W has one, and it works with
all Mac OS versions to date. Your iMac may have one of these. If the
serial port is present where the modem should be, then it is likely
that you have one.
Try the Internal Modem option, since the serial port probably replaces
it. If it doesn't work, make sure the proper extension is installed.
