Checking past posts on Newtontalk in 2002, they are some references to
this problem.. SimpleMail failure to send out email from the Newt. Some
failures were .Mac account related. Have you tried turning on and off
authentication? Try reenter all SimpleMail prefs. Tried using a
different email program? i.e Eudora
I did have a similar problem, but this was with Eudora, a dialup
connnection, and failure to send out email. I use Eudora still on my
Newt with a 56K modem (get my email at work), but use the receive to
send technique.
I use SimpleMail on my other Newt with a wireless card at home and it
works great sending and receiving.
