[NTLK] reusing a 'getting started' card?

Hi,
Is it possible to unlock a write protected 'getting started' card? I got =
one with a Newton I bought on eBay, but I don't need the stuff on it, and =
would like to use it to store data instead.
The card has an extra bit of plastic where the 'lock-unlock' switch is =
usually, so I was wondering if the switch might still be available if I =
dug out the plastic.
