This is only partially right. You need to put in a
DIFFERENT ROM board, for example a German one if you have
a US ROM, an eMate one if you have any 2x00 ROM etc.
If you swap a US ROM with another US ROM, exactly nothing
will happpen. The system patches live on the mainboard,
not on the ROM daughterboard, hence the Newton wouldn't
notice any difference.
Just as a warning: Not many people have done this yet, and
it is not sufficiently proven that this will never harm the
Newton.
