I was in the middle of typing out a desperate plee for help after attempting
to lubricate the hinge on my newly aquired eMate. Seems that when I got it
all back together again it wouldn't restart. All I got was a flashing LCD
panel. Trouble shooting instructions in the manual suggested I remove the
flash memory and reseat the ROM card which I did several times to no avail.
Next suggestion was to replace the Motherboard. While my heart sank I
remembered the good ole days when plug-in card cages were the fashion and
gold contacts were a must have option, we used to have to clean the contacts
every so often with a pencil eraser. Well I tried that and it worked ...
yeah!!
