No. Never ever try to delete data when a -10606 error occurs. Never.
Backup everything you can and then delete the card and restore from
backup.

Here's the explanation. A -10606 means object not found. If you try
to delete something, the system might start a transaction, try to
delete your object, fail because of the object not found, try to
revert to the previous state and then it might fail as well because
of the object not found. This is the beginning of the end.

In that case, the corruption grows and may reach the root of the
object that you tried to delete. Say you want to delete a soup, the
problem is in an entry, the whole soup can be damaged. If the problem
is at the soup level, all the soups can be destroyed and then next
time you insert the card, the Newton will say that it needs to be
erased.
