a Newton eats a little heap (unless frozen) just to let the Newton know it'=

there and available. I forget how much heap a 2100 has before any packages
are installed but I seem to remember it's a little over 400K. So, if each
installed package takes 1K, 200 packages will knock that back to 200K and
each card (or card partition) will also eat a little more heap. So, what I'=

wondering, will these really large ATA cards (such as 5GB) leave any heap
after they're partitioned and loaded with 200 packages, several hundred
books and a few hours of MP3s?
