Try more than one instance of slowdown - on a 1 Ghz PIII I run two
instances, but on the second instance I run the sliders only halfway across
the control panel. Also, sometimes I have found that removing the previous
backup helps (if I am backing up files) - that way NCU is building a new
backup set instead of appending an old set.
