I'm testing a Novatel Wireless Merlin C201 in a laptop for wireless
access via the Sprint PCS Vision network and was wondering if it would
be safe to try it out in a Newton. Here's some specs:

http://www.novatelwireless.com/pcproducts/index.html

Merlin C201 is designed for Windows 98SE/2000/ME and XP, Windows CE
Pocket PC 2000/2002 devices equipped with a Type II PC Card slot
including Compaq iPAQ, Jornada 560 series, and Cassieopia E200.

Voltage: 5 Volts from PC Card slot
Current: Transmit Burst: 850 mA average
Standby Mode: 60 mA average
Approvals: Compliant with IS-98D, IS-707A, IS-2000 Release 0
FCC Parts 15 and 24

Any advice?
