I have acquired a new PC (WinXP) laptop as a birthday present.
(Please, no berating me to get a MAC)

My old laptop I used NCU to up/download and backup my Newton via a
serial connection. All went great.

The new laptop doesn't have a serial connection. Built in modem,
Ethernet and lot of USB.

Question: If I get a USB to Serial converter can I use this to
establish a serial connection with the Newton? I know the theory, I'm
asking after anyone who has practical experience.
