Daniel,

It does work provided you use the right jabber server to connect to.

I use JAJC (Just Another Jabber Client) on my PC. I used that to create
an account on es.tipic.com where I configured my various buddy lists
(AIM, Yahoo & MSN).

I then connect to it using Newton IM and it works like a champ.
