    I have two 2100s with SER-001 upgrades. No cracks on either one.
    Did you perchance leave a bit of a bump on the back of the Newt after
installing the SER-001? If so, it's probably not seated properly and could
be stressing the case (I ran into this problem when installing an SER-001 on
a friend's Newt _ it seems to happen on Newtons that have never been opened
before). Removing and reseating the SER-001 (and making sure both screws are
in place) should fix the problem.
