The "M" ones have a serial port - I have a 5MP, but be careful about
the ones without an M. There may not be a driver for the Mac if you
wanted to go the Ethernet route. Best to check HP's site for the
printer you have in mind. I have a LaserJet 6L at work (for the PCs)
and there is no Mac driver. However, the 6M/6MP do have Mac drivers
(and serial ports).

If you're planning on the Ethernet route, some printers have the option
to add the JetDirect card in, some don't. For my 5MP, I bought an
AsanteTalk unit (serial in/Ethernet out), and used this to put the
printer on the network. The 5MP and 6MP have infrared, so if you were
looking to print from the Newt, you can with these printers.
