Not to be too nasty about it, but the response below is exactly the kind of
noise that is not needed on a mailing list...I really don't care if Laurent
thinks the original poster should have a Mac or not, it's posts like this
(and I singled this one out only because it's somewhat on topic; there are
hundreds of off topic posts that I've waded through since I subscribed a few
months ago) that are really hurting the signal to noise ratio on this
mailing list.

I agree that a mailing list is probably the most comprehensive and cohesive
way of keeping an online community together (not to mention the most
accessible for Newt owners who want to burn out their flash ram by endlessly
downloading emails to their Newts), but I have to say that the signal to
noise ratio on this list is among the worst I've ever seen.
