You cannot reinstall the Newton OS because it is in ROM in your Newton. I've
never done that synchronization myself but I've read a few times people
having problems with that because I think that Organizer has some sort of
extension that is loaded when the classic MacOS boots and that extension
opens the Organizer file. I think that people were renaming the current file
to another name when they were ready to sync and they were using that file
instead. I'm not sure about this, though. You could try to do a search in
the NewtonTalk archive...
