Yes that's why its called a ToDo list.
The HaveDone list was in alpha at the time Jobs
canned the Newton and was going to sell for an extra
$99.95.
The HaveDone list was real cool it had automatic
spousal/SO notifcation, and automatically kept track
of "brownie points" when enough were accumulated a new
Newton accessory or software package could be ordered.
If the proper points weren't acuumulated or
the ToDo list in Comparison to the HaveDone list was
too large, an cold icy stare and reset via the Newton
being thrown against the wall by the spousal/SO
function was enabled. If the TO-Do list was still too
large in comparison to the have done list based on an
invisible and highly variable date/time entry in the
Calendar,(often depending on the current time/date of
the month for Male Newton Owners and proximity to
"better things to do" for Female newton owners).

There is an easter egg since the Have-Done list has
never exceeded the To-Do list.

Also the copy function is disabled between the to-do
list and the have-done list to prevent cheating.
