What we need is to access the IrLMP layer on a desktop OS... using new APIs
and not the old Mac CTB and stuff like that.
Looking at some IrDA documentation for Windows here:
http://homepage.ntlworld.com/alanjmcf/comms/infrared/Microsoft%20Windows%20IrDA%20programming.html
it seems that it is possible to tell the IrDA Winsock stack to speak directly
in IrLMP frames (at least for Win2000/XP, and maybe for Win98). Hrm.
Intriguing. Maybe I'll have to overcome the VC++ IDE and write some damn code...
