Yup. Unlike software, there is *NO* provision in printed media for making
copies for your own use or for backup, let alone distribution to anybody (even
owners of the book). So, if you drop your copy of Harry Potter into a mud
puddle and then accidentally shred it with your heel, it's back to bookstore to
buy another copy.
