What format are the books in? Are they Newtonbooks made with Newton
Press.
I use Bernie's Bookreader, and although it is a bit buggy, it does quite
a nice job. You may not have jumped through all the necessary hoops to
get LOR formatted in a way the BBreader is happy with.
For example, if you don't have the book split up into topics (something
you need to do in Newton Press), I believe the reader will attempt to
read the entire book into memory as if it were one chapter. I've had
this problem with books without topics (chapters) added. It is also
possible to add topics in Paperback - and these are seen in the save way
by BBbreader.
Hope this helps,
blair
