I'm sure this is detailed definatively in the FAQ, but my
understanding is that the 130, like the 120, has an
ARM610 CPU. The eMate has an ARM710 and the 2x00
has a StrongARM SA110. The code is largely interchangeable
with only a small number of catches, esp. with the
StrongARM.

Where you will run into trouble is ins the rest of the
hardware. The screen is different, the eMate has a built-in keyboard that needs a special driver, the PCMCIA hardware
is different etc. I imagine that not every copy of NOS2.1
has the same drivers-each model of Newton would have it's
own version of 2.1

You would have as much success pulling the ROM from a
Mac and trying to use it as the BIOS in a PC Motherboard.
