I have serious looked into project this as I have a friend who can make
small runs of PCB's. The biggest issues are the unique parts required,
the interconnect connector is no longer manufactured by JAE or stocked,
a comparable replacement would need to be found. The only other major
item is the IC needed to drive the serial connector, it looks like
Linear Technology still it.
As for demand, I am sure there are a 100 or so people who would purchase
a "Super Dongle", but why stop there, who not go full out and also make
a docking station?
Chris

I recently got back into Netwons, had a MP100 6 years ago and then
had=20
several palms - But the screen size and form factor didn't fit me as
well as=20
the Newt. So I purchased a 2100 from J&K a couple days ago and have been
surfing all the broken Newton links.
Looking at the price of a serial cable and the thought of audio
output,=20
has anyone priced having a run of 100 or so special multifunction cables
or a=20
plug-in block? (Audio, serial and keyboard)
