I was under the impression (possibly mistaken) that some of the NIE
packages put hooks into the system information when they are installed. From
the experiments I did today it seems they may not _ at least as far as
ethernet is concerned. I didn't add Internet programs to see if there was a
problem when the system information wasn't restored from a card backup as
part of getting the ethernet essentials loaded.
