Post essentially delivers the content to bolgger.com. Publish is what
actually puts it on your blog's web page.

That's what should happen in an ideal world. However, I get an error
message saying that the post was successful but the publish failed. When I
go to the editor at blogger.com my note is posted and waiting to be
published.
