Funny, not a minute after I sent the above, my other list (the
Open-source wireless driver for OSX) had a message come across from a
gent who successfully upgraded his orinoco silver to gold in the
airport slot of his AGP G4 (sawtooth).
So, I stand corrected at least in his case.
