IIRC, PCBMan's project inspired Calvin Grier to pick up the torch (backlight?) and
actually mass produce backlight/touchscreen replacement kits.

Last time I checked, he just dropped the price of the kits to $125 US. I think that
it's worth it but I haven't had the time to find someone who will install it for me
(local to Southeast US) and find a way to replace all the functions of my Newt
temporarily while it's out getting the backlight installed.
I believe that Ferdi is just providing the install service, his kits are from Calvin
also I think, unless he has a supply of EL backlight flat sheets that he's using.
