I really don't see how he is being rude at all. He signed up for a service
that might help him receive less spam. If it works, then that's great. I
don't really see how forcing an E-mailer to verify that he is a real person
and not just a server sitting in someone's basement is rude at all. It
seems to me like having those three tones at the beginning of your answering
machine. It's a bit annoying to callers, but it dramatically cuts down the
amount of junk phone calls you receive.

Now, that company is breaking the law in that they require you to read a
picture, but that is an entirely separate issue. Specifically, they are not
in compliance with the ADA which requires that websites be readable by
software such that a blind person could have said websites read aloud.
