WAP is a protocol designed for cell phones. It is basically really
stripped down web pages designed to work right on the really small
screen and basic user interface of a cell phone display. I do not know
of any WAP browsers for the Newton, and it would probably not be very
useful as few sites (on the whole) really adopted it. Its mostly canned
cell-provider-sponsored marketing stuff (at least in my experience).
As for streaming stock tickers, I don't know of any. Have you checked
UNNA (www.unna.org)?
For the news feeds, this was covered a couple times in the last week or
two. Look for (I think it was) Raissa. Raissa will download RSS feeds.
Content providers (Slashdot, Netscape, others) use RSS as a standard
format for transmitting headlines. Many sites use it.
Hope this helps.
