Yes.

The internal battery is dead on my Duo 230. The Duo does not have any
problem docking with the Dock. I haven't bothered to replace the
battery as the Duo is always in a Dock nowadays.

The thing that will prevent the Duo from docking is a "ticking power
supply" in the Dock. If you have this problem if you listen carefully
you will hear a faint ticking sound coming from the Dock power
supply. It is an very common problem. Both my Docks had the problem.
It is due to the early failure of a capacitor. Here is the fix
