[NTLK] Date(s) problem

Recently my Newt developed the nasty habit of setting the alarms one
day too late (so a meeting on the 1st of April and an alarm set on 9
a.m. on date of event gives an alarm on 9 a.m. on the 2nd of April)
anybody with a cure short of removing the Dates soup completely?
