Hi,
Is anybody successfully using Escale with Rendezvous?
It doesn't work with my setup:
Newton:
Connect via TCP/IP, "Use ZeroConf".
Wireless LAN WEP-128 encrypted, SMC Barricade router/WAP with TCP port
3679 mapped to my Mac's IP address (192.168.2.2).
OSX:
Network: IP 192.168.2.2 - Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 - Router 192.168.2.1
Sharing: All services ON - firewall OFF - Computer name "Cooper" -
Rendezvous name "Cooper.local" - Internet Sharing OFF
I tap connect, Newton says "Choose a server" but no names appear.
If I use the same setup, only changing "Use ZeroConf" to "Manual
setting", then input my Mac's IP address and port 3679, it WORKS.
Any ideas? Is ZeroConf working for anyone, or is the feature not fully
baked?
Thanks,
-Jeremy
