Still no luck. I'm thinking the problem is one of two thigns: either
it's not working because I have two versions of iTunes on my computer
(and for some reason, iTunes 3 has made itself undeletable as part of
the "root") or I don't have a separate system folder for os 9/classic
to put the newton device library file in that goes with the itunes
plug-in. I just have the one main systsem folder os x uses (the old
system folder vanished when I upgraded to os x). Or are you getting it
to work by putting the file in the main system folder, or with new and
old versions of itunes on your computer? If so, maybe you can tell me
where you installed things so I can replicate it?

Thanks for the help.
