To be honest, I've only had it working using and booting into OS 9. I've
never actually tried it in Classic under OS X. I would assume that the
shared library would need to be in whatever system folder in currently
being booted or blessed.

As for your 'undeletable' version of iTunes, it sounds like to need to
run the permissions repair tools supplied on the Jaguar install disc. You
can also use the Cocktail utility to do this:
