Erwin-

I got one of the cases after the first posting about a month ago, and
so far have been happy with it. I did have to use an exacto-blade and
some stitching to enlarge the window on it so that I could use my 2100
with it, so if you have a 2000 or 2100 you should plan on doing about a
half-hours worth of modification. The case has foam padding all over,
as well as hard plastic over the front and back, making it quite
durable. I've taken it out on a number of archaeological field
inspections so far, and have been pleased with it's durability and
protection. It has the standard modern military clips on the back, so
if you have a military belt or pack, it should clip onto it easily.
All in all, I'd say if you're looking for a case that is suitable for
use outside, this would be it.

Has anyone gotten on of these? I'm curious about a different type of
case. It looks like a belt clip, and I'm also wondering about how firm
the case is. I guess I want to know general user experience info, if
anyone has some to share...
Thanks!
