-I think you have to install the main NIE package before installing NIE
Ethernet, otherwise NIE Ethernet will complain when it tries to run its
InstallScript.
-The "patched/Proxim" Newton Devices will work with other cards, from what I
can tell. I have it installed and I used my 3Com 3c589D no problem.
-The "z3ComDrv:clli" starts with 'z' to ensure that it is loaded after the
Farallon driver - otherwise, it will fail to load.
-People should use DHCP server if they know or think they know that they have
a device on their network that dishes out IP addresses. Such devices might
include:
-DSL/Cable router box
-Windows 98SE/2000/XP computer using Internet Connection Sharing
-Corporate DHCP server
