Hi Rocco,
the same happened to me, the first package I downloaded was seen right,
follwers did not.

Anyway you can do as I've done, simply open ResEdit (I'm assuming you under
MacOS Classic) and change the type/creator to "pkg "/"pkgX" in the "Get
file/folder info..." window.
