Hello Woody,

thanks, I did look threw the archive, there was some mention of syncing
NAMES with ClarisWorks address book, but that didn't seem to fit what I want
to do. I noticed the praise paid to File Pad and if worse comes to worse I
can rebuilt my database in Filemaker Pro 5.5...and learn the programming
needed to make it sync. I guess I'm looking to keep it simple without
rebuilding the database...if not I trust AppleWorks equations are
transferable to FileMaker Pro? I have an acedemic version (5.5) I bought my
last semester of college with plans to play around with it, never did
because it seemed to be more then I needed, now it looks like it's my best
option. The FilePad/FileMaker Pro combo is probibly the best solution...not
the easiest, but apparently the best. Though, any other options will be
appresiated.

Is there a place on the web with sage advice on making FilePad and FileMaker
work togeather beyond the manauls that came with each program? Any issues
with the eMate and FilePad I should keep in mind (I've upgrade the OS on the
eMate to the most current avalible).

Excelsior!
Shannon

Hi Shannon
There have been a number of discussions of database applications for
the Newton, check the archives. I don't think that any will link to
the appleworks database. I think that Filepad will link to Filemaker
Pro. Files can be saved in DIF format and opened in filemaker pro.
If there is a better approach I am sure that others will speak up
