From what I understand Appletalk only looks for other clients/servers
when you ask for them, like opening the Chooser. This is why it takes a
few 10ths of a second to turn up on most machines. AppletalkIP is even
slower as it has to use TCP/IP - the only way around the later problem
is Rendezvous :).
