You could set up your linux box to be a server, put the packages there
(add to the server's mime types a line like
"application/x-newton-compatible-pkg pkg" ) then connect with
NewtHopper. I hope you have NewtHopper or another browser, or you'll be
stuck with the bootstrapping problem again. That should work through
TCP/IP. I think. Backing up is a different problem.
Keep us informed as to how it's going, think you're the first guinea
