If it hasn't been used in a while it could be that the jets on the ink
cartridge are clogged or dirty. A moist qtip can be used to clean
them, make sure no bits of cotton are left behind. It could also be
that the ink cartridge is going dry. To test the printer, with the
printer off hold the power button for a few seconds until you hear it
start the test cycle. It should print out printer name rom version a
graphic of the printer and other test marks.
