Hello,
I have a MP 2000 upgraded to MP 2100. I was riding in a car scribbling
some notes, turned off the newton, and when I got home, I plugged it in
for extra charge. When I returned after 10-20 minutes, the machine
wouldn't turn on.
I looked at the Newton FAQ, and have tried their suggestions... (but
for a few)
*I can't put in fresh batteries, because I only have the one Apple
rechargeable battery.
*I've pressed the reset button with the battery in, with the power
adapter installed, and both.
*N/A - I have a 2x00
*Tried this many times
*N/A - I have a 2x00
*Removed everything for a 5 hours, plugged everything back in, and
pressed restart - - nothing.
*N/A - I have a 2x00
*Daughter card? I don't want to crack open my case. I tried that on
another Newton, and broke it.
-- So, does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem? If noone has any suggestions, I think that I'll just buy another battery. Although I'm not sure if that is the problem as the Newton didn't flash a low battery warning when I was writing on it minutes before it became disabled. I think that this would be cheaper than shipping it to j&k, and having fex ed charge me 11$ each way, and 15$ from j&k, and ?$ any part that they would want to replace.
